Odyssey Computing Hub supports schools in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Swindon, Bristol, Bath and North Somerset.
A partnership between Adfecto, Pate’s Grammar School and the NCCE, they are one of the first DfE funded Teach Computing Hubs which form part of the National Centre for Computing Education.
The Computing Hub supports teachers by offering both remote and local face to face training; facilitating networks of teachers, professionals and subject leaders and offering bespoke training to schools, federations and Multi-Academy Trusts. They also provide advice and guidance for the computing curriculum and signpost resources and other professional bodies.
The training, resources and support on offer cover the curriculum from Key Stage 1 through to A level and cater for all levels of subject knowledge and experience. There are generous subsidies available to facilitate release time from school and an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
